She spent a year creating a blueprint for a new model of education designed to foster a sense of agency in students. Prior to that, she spent four years as the Head of Lower School and a member of the founding team of Khan Lab School in Mountain View. She taught elementary school for five years in Washington, DC where she was a Teach for America corps member. She also spent two years designing curriculum for an education technology company in San Francisco. As both a teacher and curriculum designer, Nikita understood the power of engaging students in deeper learning. An educational background in psychology grounds her teaching in child development and drives her inquiry to ascertain how each student learns best. She is inspired daily by the enthusiasm and creativity of children and loves guiding student learning through discovery, exploration, and peer collaboration. Kristin is dedicated to educating the whole child through social-emotional learning, instilling a growth mindset, and fostering intrinsic motivation. She wrote her master’s thesis on peer friendships and peer relationships, which culminated in writing a children's story about a dog named Zadie who travels throughout New York City, finding friends along the way. At Portfolio School in New York City, she led innovation and K–8 learning, designing hands-on curriculum in academics, robotics, coding, and design. She also built and ran the school’s Innovation Lab, a makerspace where students could explore 3D printing, digital fabrication, and problem-solving through real-world projects. Amanda is passionate about helping children see themselves as innovators and leaders. Beyond the classroom, she has worked with organizations like STEM Teachers NYC, STEM Kids NYC, and the Girl Scouts to expand access to technology education. She frequently speaks at conferences on emergent technology and artificial intelligence, and she works to bridge the digital divide so learners of all ages can build the skills they need for the future. Michelle is skilled at developing curriculum grounded in deeper learning and project-based learning, and is committed to educational equity. She served on the Executive Board of the People of Color in Independent Schools of Northern California and was in the second cohort of the Deeper Learning Leadership Forum.       <image:caption>Elio is a burgeoning educator fascinated with the ripple effects from a holistic, agency-based education throughout our society. Struck by the wonder he witnessed in his outdoor education students while teaching in Tilden Regional Park, he committed to chasing that feeling alongside future learners and is deeply excited to do so at Red Bridge.  What motivates him in his work is a strong vision for a flourishing world; specifically, he hopes to lay a foundation of lifelong curiosity for young learners by creating environments and experiences that equip students with the skills to address our most pressing societal demands.  Elio received his undergraduate degree from Whitman College in Environmental Studies and Politics and is endlessly fascinated by the connection between humans and non-humans. He believes that the critical skills needed to tackle critical issues stem from early childhood explorations. He looks to weave his educational background and own curiosities into everyday lessons and play. She loves nothing more than co-creating meaningful learning experiences that inspire and empower students to drive their own learning, and could not be more excited about joining this team of teacher-leaders working to re-imagine a new model of education.  Outside the classroom, she works as an education advocate through the San Francisco Court Appointed Special Advocate (SFCASA) program to make educational decisions and advocate for specialized education services to meet the complex needs of local youth in foster care. Frank’s current interests are in education, healthcare and entrepreneurship.
